I wanted to design a heavy-duty forklift that would feel right at home in a grimy, industrial sci-fi universe, perhaps something akin to the environments seen in Alien or even the more robust corners of Halo. My goal was to create something large, beefy, and undeniably industrial, capable of operating outdoors and traversing challenging terrain in an interesting way.
The OH-9 model is envisioned as a versatile workhorse, perfect for handling heavy cargo in advanced manufacturing facilities, bustling spaceports, or rugged planetary outposts. I focused on a strong hard-surface aesthetic, emphasizing functionality and utilitarianism, with a lift system designed for serious hauling and unique treads for impressive traversal.
